Awards for All – Lottery Grant
After a lot of research by a small group of members
and some very useful advice from Aileen Ray, a member of Haywards Heath U3A, an
application was made for a grant under the Awards for All England Programme on
1 August 2006. The basis of the application was the group’s need for a number of
pieces of equipment which will enhance our presentations and support the work of
our Activity Groups.
Our application was successful and we heard that we had been awarded a grant of £3,332 on 25 September 2006.
Subsequently, the following items were purchased:-
a good quality laptop computer;
a high grade projector with stand and screen:
a DVD player;
a compact, portable and very effective pa system.
Knutsford and District U3A is grateful for the support of the Lottery Fund and
the members anticipate all the items being put to good use.
