The geology group is continuing in 2011-12 and we would welcome new members particularly walkers who want
to understand more of the countryside and have an interest in geology. Over
the last 18 months the group has met monthly (exc Aug and Dec) covering the
basics of geology and has had some very interesting field trips, all guided by
Fred Owen. The idea now is to repeat the basic geology but to include examples
of landscapes relating to the topic covered with emphasis on geological examples
from Britain.
Meetings are held in the
upper room at the
Angel Hotel in Knutsford on the third Monday of each month.
